A little about me

Christina Singer is the owner of Christina Bakes! She provides fresh baked products with a European flair. She is proud to use only the finest ingredients and no artificial substitutes in any of her products. She earned her Associates in Baking and Pastry Arts from the Culinary Institute of America in 2013.
Previously, she obtained a Bachelor’s in Information Systems and Marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has experience making fine pastries, breads, cakes, and more.
In her spare time she enjoys skiing, swing dancing, and listening to music. She continuously stays active in the community and teaches baking classes in her spare time.
Mission of Christina Bakes
I started Christina Bakes because I grew up sampling European pastries baked by my mum and I wanted to share these fantastic flavors with the world. European style desserts are based in simplicity and elegance, and have much less butter and sugar than their American counter parts.
While I do strive to make some of my favorite American desserts like carrot cake and red velvet cake, I have altered the recipes to have a European flair. I do not believe in using any chemical based products so each product I sell is made from only natural ingredients. When possible, I always source locally, and I do not add any preservatives or unnatural colors to my products.
I hope you will join me in exploring the fine taste of European cakes, pastries, and breads. Life is short…so let’s get baking!
